Burlington Santa Claus Parade
December 2 @ 2:00 pm - 5:00 pm
Santa Claus is coming to town.
When and Where
Sunday, December 3, 2023 at 2 p.m. in downtown Burlington
Parade Route:
- Begins at Guelph Line from Prospect Street to New Street
- New Street from Guelph Line to Martha Street
- James Street from Martha Street to Brant Street
- Brant Street from Baldwin Street/Victoria Avenue
- Concluding on Brant Street at Elgin Street
Parade entries, Food Vendors and Entertainment
If you are interested in participating in the 2023 parade as a float, walking group, or mobile food vendor please complete our application.
If you are interested in participating as a marching band, brass band, drumline style or similar please complete our application.
Celebrate Burlington 150
Burlington not-for-profit organizations are invited to submit a Burlington 150 themed float in this year’s Santa Claus Parade to celebrate your part in Burlington’s history. Three community float entries will be randomly chosen to receive up to $1,500 towards their float design.
- Entry Deadline Oct. 15, 2023.
- Flatbed trailer to be provided courtesy of JKM Towing.
- Decoration space on Dec. 2 to be provided courtesy of Attridge Transportation.

How to Enter:
Road Closures
Impacted roads on the parade route will be closed from 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Prospect Street from Cumberland Ave. to Guelph Line will be closed beginning at 11:30 a.m. for parade staging.
Halton Regional Police Service will supervise all closures and direct traffic at major intersections. Emergency Services access will be maintained at all times along the event route.
Donations
Support your community and bring a non-perishable food donation to the Parade. The Burlington Teen Tour Boosters will be collecting in support of the Burlington Food Bank.
Representatives of the Burlington Oldtimers Hockey Cub will also be collecting donations in support of the parade on behalf of the parade organizing committee (collection through cash only).
Letters to Santa
Bring your letters for Santa, which will be collected by letter carriers from Canada Post along the parade route.
