Doors Open Brampton

Doors Open returns to Brampton! This initiative invites the public to explore buildings and sites free of charge. Find out more about Doors Open Brampton here. Visit PAMA on this free day and enjoy behind-the-scenes tours of the Peel County Jail, archives, museum vault and more.
Schedule:
Archive Vault Tours at 10:30 a.m., 1:30 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. See the archive vault and records in the collection. Limited to 10 people per group and will last approximately 20 – 30 minutes. Please sign up at the Museum front desk. The reading room will also be open for drop-in visits from 10 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.
Museum Vault and Workroom Tours at 10:30 a.m., 11:30 a.m., 1:00 p.m. and 2:00 p.m. Learn about the museum collection and the rehousing project, see the new shelving and a selection of artifacts. Limited to 10 people per group and will last approximately 20 – 30 minutes. Please sign up at the Museum front desk.
Jail Tours at 11:00 a.m., 11:45 a.m., 1:15 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. Discover more about the Peel County Jail. Stick around after the tour and complete a survey for your chance to win a prize valued at $250.
Art Gallery Collection on Spotlight at 11:00 a.m., 12:00 p.m., 2 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. Learn about the process behind art making with pieces from the Art Gallery collection including the plaster molds and wax models from Augustin Filipovic’s practice.
