The Nutcracker: A Canadian Tradition

The traditional story of Klara’s magical journey with her nutcracker prince with a decidedly Canadian twist, THE NUTCRACKER: A CANADIAN TRADITION is a holiday favourite that brings Tchaikovsky’s well-loved score home for the holidays. Created by acclaimed choreographer Bengt Jörgen in collaboration with the McMichael Canadian Art Collection, the production is a unique fusion of ballet and classical music, on a backdrop of iconic Canadian paintings. Audiences will celebrate Klara’s magical dream adventure as she experiences winter landscapes filled with snowflakes, lumberjacks, Mounties, and creatures of the woods. Sweet as maple syrup, and just as much of a Canadian staple, this is a visually stunning adventure for the whole family for this holiday season!
