Easy Fall Sausage Soup

Ingredients

  • 6 sausages of your choice sliced
  • 1 1/2 cups cubed fully cooked ham
  • 2 cups frozen corn
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 6 green onions chopped
  • 3 3/4 cups water
  • 1 can diced tomatoes
  • 1 can tomato paste
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  • In a large frying pan cook the sausage slices over medium-high heat until browned. Drain them well and set aside.
  • In a medium frying pan cook the flour in the oil over medium heat until it's golden brown, this may take about 5 min. Add in the onion and green onions and sauté until tender.
  • Add the water, canned tomatoes, tomato paste, corn, ham, and spices to the crock pot. Stir in the browned sausages and onions. Turn the crock pot to low and cook for 3 hours.
