Rhubarb and Apple Crumble Recipe

Ingredients

  • 2 Tbsp Lemon Juice
  • 1 Lemon zested
  • 3 cups Rhubarb chopped into 2 inch pieces
  • 3 cups Granny Smith Apples peeled, cored, and sliced into 1 inch wedges
  • 3/4 cup White sugar
  • 1/4 cup Flour
  • 1 tsp Cinnamon
  • 1 1/2 Cups Quick cook oats
  • 1 tsp Cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp Ground Cloves
  • 1/2 cup Flour
  • 1 cup Brown Sugar
  • 1 cup Butter cut into cubes

Instructions

  • Preheat over to 350oF
  • In a large mixing bowl mix rhubarb, apples, lemon zest, lemon juice, white sugar 1/4 flour, and 1 tsp of cinnamon. Place mixture in a 9x9 inch glass baking dish
  • In another bowl combine oats, 1 tsp cinnamon, cloves, 1.2 flour, and brown sugar.
  • Add butter to oat mixture and combine with your hands until the mixture is crumbly and forms pea size nuggets.
  • Spread evenly over the apple mixture.
  • Bake on a baking sheet for 35-40 minutes or until golden brown
  • Serve with whipped cream or ice cream. Enjoy!
