As the fall approaches, I start thinking about the kids going back to school, and start prepping for fast breakfasts that can be whipped up quick and ate on the go. It seems like back to school is already such a busy time, but this year is even more hectic for me as it is also back to work time after being off on maternity leave.
Now that I will have 3 kids, as well as myself and hubby to get out the door, I worry that we won’t have time for a good nutritious breakfast. I need to make sure that everyone is still getting all their servings of fruits and veggies and we are out the door before 7:30am! Summer has be a bit “easier” since I am home, there is not firm drop off time for summer camp or day care. That will all change in September, when we are “back on the clock”. I will be using smoothies as a way to help save time and still pack in some good nutrition in the morning. They boys, especially little Bear, gobble up smoothies, and I feel good about the nutritional value they are getting!
Nutritional Tip: Did you know you can easily get in 2 or more fruit servings by enjoying 1 smoothie? It’s true! It’s also easy and tasty too.
While the fruits and veggies are plentiful in the summer, buy them now and stock up for the colder months! Then I clean, chop and freeze them for use all winter long. It saves money, and just as importantly it saves time for preparation for making the smoothies in the morning. Here is a easy smoothie recipe that I made this week that was a hit with everyone and got us all in the tropical spirit:Â
Mango Pineapple Smoothie Recipe
This mango pineapple smoothie is also dairy and lactose-free, but still full of nutrients from the fruit and calcium, vitamins and protein from the So Good Soy Beverage. It also comes in vanilla and chocolate if you want to change things up a bit. Smoothies are so easy to make, and the flavour combinations are endless. For more smoothie inspiration check out these delicious and healthy recipes.Â

Ive strangely never tried making a smoothie with mango, even though I love it. It sounds like a nice alternative to berries and bananas tho!
It is a nice addition to most smoothies, goes great with kale too.
i love mango
I have been making more smoothies lately and this sounds very good.
I love blending one up a snack.
This sounds delicious, though I’d prefer to use 1% milk but then that’s just me 🙂
That would work too, So Good is a great option for people looking for a dairy or lactose free smoothie.
Looks good I need to step away from my usual berry smoothies
Sounds really good to me. Mango & Pineapple would be really good together!
This sounds very delicious!! I love mangoes and pineapples in general.

I love So Good! Always looking for a dairy free option for my smoothies.
