For Little Bear’s 1st birthday we had a Construction themed party since he enjoys playing with his brother’s trucks, diggers, and tools so much. One of the most important parts of any party is the FOOD! For this party I tried to come up with a menu that would fit with the theme, but was also suitable for children and adults alike.
The Construction Birthday Party Food included everything from spackle & drywall to mounds of boulders! Here is what I used to create the perfectly themed party, so that everyone would want to “Dig In”!
Construction Party Snacks included Nuts & Bolts (Party Mix) and Screws (Pretzels)
For the main course the first stop was “Equipment & Supplies”. A basket filled with everything you need for you meal including plates, napkins, and cutlery
The construction party food included Drywall Mud – Garlic hummus served with sliced up pita bread
Caution Dip Ahead – 3 layer nacho dip with tortilla chips. This dig was a huge hit, there was not one bite left at the end of the party.
Drywall & Spackle – Spinach dip with cubed pumpernickel bread
Boulders – Hot meat balls served in Barbeque sauce
To round out the meal we also had a veggie tray and a few other munchies for everyone to enjoy. Of course we could not forget the Fueling Station – where thirsty workers could stop in and grab a refreshing drink. Sparkling Fruit punch was in tap for the construction party, you can find the recipe I use here. I decorated the cups using labels that I printed out on my HP Photosmart printer, they were easy to print out and stick on and helped bring the fueling station to life.
So that is a roundup of the construction birthday party food and drinks that we had at Little Bears first Birthday. I am already thinking of ideas for the next party we need to throw – MY birthday party!
