Canada Day Celebration 2024

July 1 @ 3:00 pm - 10:30 pm

Celebrate Canada’s 157th birthday, and Mississauga’s 50th anniversary, from 3:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. in the heart of the city with family entertainment and activities, a live concert, Square One giveaways, and 30+ food vendors serving up curbside cuisine, in partnership with Night Market TO.  Lastly, complete your evening with an explosive fireworks finale!”

Camp Canuck presented by Toronto Pearson from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

The Camp Canuck Kids Zone is bigger than ever. There’s non-stop fun for the young and young at heart from the Living Arts Centre all the way to the Celebration Square Fountain. Live performances include:

  • CBC’s Jeremy and Jazzy Live at 3:45 p.m. and 5:15 p.m.
  • Stories Under the Stars in partnership with Penguin Random House Canada, featuring:
    • 3:15 p.m. – Sharon, Lois & Bram’s Peanut Butter & Jelly with Sharon & Randi
    • 4:15 p.m. – The Care and Keeping of Grandmas with Jennifer Mook‑Sang
    • 5:30 p.m. – Once Upon a Sari with Zenia Wadhwani
    • 6:30 p.m. – Stars in My Crown with Antonio Michael Downing
  • Summer Break Cirque Shows outdoors at the Living Art Centre Park at 3:15 p.m., 4:45 p.m. and 6:20 p.m.
  • Sauga 50 Stage in collaboration with Mississauga Music:
    • 3:00 & 3:45 p.m. – Jammer’s Waffle House
    • 4:15 p.m. – Jade Hilton
    • 5:15 p.m. – Matt Zaddy Trio
    • 6:30 p.m. – Arlene & the People
  • A big Splash DJ Dance Party with DJ Savanna at the Fountain

Be sure to check out the 25 foot rock climbing wall, facepainting, colouring stations, life-sized games and an interactive Mississauga 50 photobooth for everyone to enjoy.

Main Stage Concert from 6:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.

The evening will kick off with the Official Ceremony, hosted by Scott Willats and Selena Jasmine, while house DJ, Andre 905, is set to spin all night long.  Don’t miss the incredible line-up of Canada’s hottest rising stars including TikTok sensation, Crash Adams, R’n’B powerhouse Lu Kala, and the soulful Zeina. Then, cap the celebration off with an explosive firework finale!

  • 6:00 p.m. – Official Ceremony
  • 6:30 p.m. – Zeina
  • 7:25 p.m. – Bangerz Brass at the Hype Stage
  • 7:45 p.m. – Lu Kala
  • 8:30 p.m. – Omega Mighty at the Hype Stage
  • 9:00 p.m. – Crash Adams
  • 10:00 p.m. – Fireworks Finale, presented by Tim Hortons
