Bucket List for Families

Bucket List Ideas for Families

My husband and I love travel and adventure and have always lived a fast paced lifestyle. We promised that adding our daughter Thumper into the mix wouldn’t change this and 1 year later I can say it definitely hasn’t. We love to travel, adventure outdoors whether it be hiking or camping, go on day trips, experience new activities and just overall enjoy life! Now we aren’t rich by any means but we do make it a priority to experience life to the fullest and make sure we do so within our budget as we often look for frugal tips to save money on our experiences. I was inspired by Suzy from Our Bucket Lives to create my own bucket list ideas for families. This is a list of adventures, trips, and activities I would love to explore with my daughter Thumper and my husband over time. Life is not about owning objects but instead about exploring the world around you whether that be international or local and making memories as a family. So below I have created my own family bucket list ideas.

Do you love to dream big and experience life as a FAMILY? Are there adventures you would like to experience with your kids?

Create your own Bucket List Ideas for Family

Write them down and create your own bucket list ideas for family. As your kids get older you can get them involved in adding to the list and sharing dreams of places they want to visit and activities they would like to experience. Organize the list and plan out which ideas are tangible for the upcoming few months, come back to the list often and continue to make plans whether they are big or small.

Bucket List Project Ideas

Now if you have been reading Little Miss Kate for awhile you may have read about the amazing adventures we already experienced while I was on maternity leave in my blog 25 Things to do with a Baby in Brampton. We spent the year enjoying every activity that we could that was available to moms and babies in our hometown of Brampton, Ontario. Now I am super lucky that in Canada we have 1 whole year off for Maternity Leave, and I am even luckier that as a teacher I get 12 weeks a year off: 2 for Winter Break, 1 for Spring Break, and 9 weeks for Summer Vacation. I am super excited to use the time I have off during the year to explore more local activities, and events as well as travel to new destinations. This summer (2019), I plan to go on many day trips with a toddler

Why create a Bucket List for Kids?

I would love for you to join us and read about our adventures through parenting and read more about our experiences of different activities and destinations. Most of all I hope this list inspires you as a parent to carve out time to spend with your kids and make memories no matter in they are big or small. As I look back on my childhood I don’t remember the gifts that my parents bought me but rather the experiences that we shared as a family. This list is not a bucket list of travel destinations but rather a bucket list with kids that we hope to make. Join Sean, Thumper and I as we take on the world of life one day at a time!  As Thumper is only 1, I am sure that this list will continue to expand and grow as she develops as a person and starts to show interests.

We are on a mission to explore as many local adventures and activities and travel destinations as we can. We are happy to discuss reviewing any attractions, hotels, activities, etc. Please feel free to contact us. We have linked to blogs about our completed adventures.

If you would like to follow our adventures, feel free to subscribe to the Little Miss Kate Newsletter. Lastly, I hope that my list inspires you to make your own Family Bucket list! It is my hope that you use these examples of bucket lists ideas and examples as inspiration to create your own cool and adventurous bucket list for families.

Can I still create a bucket list ideas for teenagers?

Even though your children may be older there is always still time to create a list of fun things for a bucket list. So take an evening together and create a bucket list of adventures you would like to go on together, obviously your list will be quite different than a bucket list for children as your teenagers interests and how old they are will influence your list.

  1. This is such a great idea! I have a list of things in my mind of where all I want to take my kids, but I need to write it out. I like how you separated it out.
