So if you are wondering if the Paw Pass at Great Wolf Lodge is worth it you are not the only one as it is a common question I see in Facebook groups and the top question I had when we arrived as my daughter wanted the wand for Magiquest and I knew it was part of the Great Wolf Paw Pass.
In my opinion, the Paw Passes at Great Wolf Lodge are a great addition to your waterpark stay and offer lots of entertainment options when the kids are tired of the waterpark, especially little ones under 6 who get tired of the waterpark – my daughter who is 3.5 lasted about 3-4 hours in the Waterpark each day and then was EXHAUSTED! So in total everything separately would have added to $113 for us – My daughter choose 2 Games of Bowling which was the higher value than one game of Mini Golf but she also choose the Magnets at the Cub Club which was the lowest value. Is the Paw Pass really Worth it?
In my opinion, I think the Paw Pass holds alot of VALUE as it offers activities to fill the time when you are tired of the Waterpark. For us, my daughter showed interest in the Magiquest from the moment we walked to our room and she saw others opening the treasure chests… so I was automatically set to spend money on the wand. We also wanted to let her try bowling for the first time and she normally gets a souvenir so for us it just made financial sense. The pass has alot of VALUE but it really just depends on what activities you plan to do if its worth it for you!
What is the Best Age to get the Paw Pass For?
Its Interesting that the Great Wolf Lodge Website says they feel the Paw Pass is best for Children over 5 years old and Teens, while it is good for them I actually think its more geared to kids aged 3-8 years old and I’ll explain why.
Firstly the stuffed animal, bowling which is 5 pin, wolf ears and colour your own items in cub club are definetly geared towards younger kids as I cant see many kids over age 8 being super excited by these activities. While Kids aged 3-8 are definetly very excited by these activities plus the others as my three year old was so excited for Bowling for the first time but also LOVED the Magic Quest. For Kids older then 8 I think they would enjoy the MagiQuest best and you are better to spend your money on a Magiquest Wand/Quest and maybe some fancy toppers for the wand as they will get the most out of this. While they will enjoy bowling and mini golf you can play a round without the Paw Pass for $7.99/person.
