I almost didn’t find this amazing restaurant because it’s not listed in the typical Chinese Restaurant listings. Once found, I couldn’t help but notice the amount of exceptional 5/5 reviews. Clearly, Orda is a beloved restaurant in Oakville.
They specialize in Uyghur cuisine, bringing the unique flavours of the Uyghur people to the heart of the town. The menu at Orda features a variety of dishes inspired by the culinary traditions of the Uyghur people, who hail from the Xinjiang region in Northwestern China.
I brought my supper club to this restaurant, and the group favourites included Lamb Kebabs, Fried Lamb with chewy, delicious fried bread, and the Stir-Fried Lahman. From their aromatic hand-pulled lamb noodles and flavorful Uyghur-style kebabs to their hearty dumplings and fragrant rice dishes, Orda offers an authentic taste of Uyghur cuisine.

I found the ambiance contributed to the feeling of a “special night out.” The extraordinary menu featured

The service is excellent and the fact that there is plenty of free parking (mall parking lot) makes this place convenient to go to. Cynthia’s Chinese Restaurant is a hidden gem in Oakville. I recommend eating in (rather than taking out) because the room is ornately decorated, with a lovely waterfall at the entrance. The atmosphere here feels divine! With a focus on traditional Chinese cuisine, the restaurant offers a menu filled with delectable dishes that showcase the rich culinary heritage of China. From their flavourful Kung Pao Chicken and Mongolian Beef to their mouthwatering Sweet and Sour Pork and Peking Duck, Cynthia’s Chinese Restaurant ensures a memorable dining experience.
I was impressed by Cynthia’s Egg Foo Young. I’ve tried this dish from several different restaurants, and Cynthia’s was the first restaurant that had one I’d go back for.

Celadon House is a dine-in or drive-through Asian Restaurant. It is a hidden gem in Oakville, offering an exquisite culinary journey through the flavours of Chinese cuisine. From their Beef and Mushroom Salpicado to their Cha Beehon (Chicken, shrimp, mushroom) noodles, Celadon House tantalizes the taste buds with its authentic flavours. Interestingly, Caledon House offers frozen dim sum meal kits to enjoy at home. That is something I have not seen in other Chinese restaurants.

Many feel like they are “part of the family” when visiting Celadon House. Overall, Celadon House Chinese Restaurant offers a true taste of China in the east end of Oakville and deserves a spot as one of the best Chinese Restaurants in Oakville.
Shanghai Alley Gourmet Chinese Restaurant
Shanghai Alley Gourmet, located in downtown Oakville, is a traditional Shanghainese-style restaurant. The menu at Shanghai Alley Gourmet showcases traditional dishes that capture the essence of Shanghai’s vibrant food scene. From their signature, Xiao Long Bao (soup dumplings) and savoury Scallion Pancakes to their comforting Braised Pork Belly and flavorful Wonton Noodle Soup, every dish at Shanghai Alley Gourmet is a treat for the taste buds.
We tried the dishes listed above, plus their fried rice and noodle dishes and we would definitely go back to try other things from their delicious looking menu.
