The Compass Food Bank

Eden Food for Change

If you are new to the food bank, it will be arranged for you to meet with one of their advocates to get your and your household registered. You will also be connected to other resources within your area that may provide some more assistance.

Seva Food Bank has two locations in Mississauga. Their priority is ensure everyone that is part of the Seva family is healthy and safe. The Seva Food Bank is run by Sikhs Serving Canada. They make sure that they provide access to nutritious, safe and culturally appropriate foods to those who need them while offering programs that can help to support clients on their journey to self-reliance.

Faith of Life

Feed the Poor provides monthly hampers, a soup kitchen and bimonthly hot meals to their clients. They also collect food for the local food banks and so much more.

Decon’s Cupboard

3041 Mississauga Road Mississauga, Ontario  L5L 0B7 – Deacon’s Cupboard is a program offered at St. Peter’s Church Erindale. The program is open to everyone and offers spiritual and emotional support in a warm, compassionate and friendly environment. They also offer help with practical needs i nthe form of food offerings on a voucher basis. Guests may choose their own food and they also have a minister and nurse every Wednesday.

St. Hilary’s Church

They also take monetary donations and non-perishable food items in order to continue providing support.

Grace Mountain Zion Apostolic Church

5865 Coopers Ave, Mississauga, ON L4Z 1R9 – Grace Mountain Zion Apostolic Church has offered a food bank for over 10 years. They distribute clothing and food to residents of South Brampton and West Mississauga. Operating every Friday from 6-8pm, and the last Saturday of each month from 11am – 1pm, their goal is to serve their community.

Praise Cathedral Worship Centre

6785 Millcreek Dr, Mississauga, ON L5N 5M4 – Praise Cathedral Worship Centre operates a  food bank serving Peel residents. Food distribution takes place every third Thursday of each month. Dee’s Pantry

Dee’s Pantry is a small independent community food pantry. Running solely through community donations, they work hard to provide for those in need. Their purpose is to fill the need that regular run Food Banks are unable to fulfill. All donations, monetary and otherwise are used solely to keep the shelves full.

Langar on Wheels

Langar on Wheels provides meals to seniors who are unable to prepare them for themselves. They purchase the ingredients and create meals that are familiar and comforting to south Asian Seniors, taking into account the dietary needs and restrictions of each individual. This program ensures that seniors get well rounded meals each day delivered right to their homes.

Food Hub

41 Finchgate Blvd, Brampton, ON L6T 3H8 – Food Hub at All People’s Church was launched to support people in the community with a helping hand. Each week they provide families within the Bramela Area with bags of perishable, and non perishable food items. If you would like to receive groceries from the Food Hub you must register for the next grocery pick up day.
