We are so lucky that we have over 44 different Playgrounds and Parks in Halton Hills, just waiting to be explored, and each one offers something different to entertain different age groups. Since lockdown has limited our entertainment options I have decided that over the course of 2021, I am going to try and visit as many playgrounds as possible with my three year old playground tester Thumper. Glen Williams Park

Address: 509 Main Street, Georgetown, ON
This park is located in the hamlet of Glen Williams within Halton Hills and is surrounded by the Credit River. This park offers two beautiful pavillions perfect for a picnic, a playground, and a fun walking trail. Just located up the hill from the park, is an amazing restaurant with a nice outdoor patio called The Copper Kettle, and across the street you can grab a cool treat from The Ice Cream Shack in Glen Williams. Another fun spot to explore near the park is the retro candy store called Sweet Nostalgia. Glen Williams Park offers the perfect location for a local family day trip as it offers not only the playground but picnic areas and a walking trail.
Age Range: 2-8 years old -> This is the perfect park for toddlers to explore on their own without assistance which is one of the reasons I love this park. My 3 year old who is tiny for her size can independently explore almost all of the park on her own without help (except for the monkey bars and zipline).
Features: Baby swings, regular swings, zipline, monkey bars, stepping stones, three slides.
Surrounding park area: Large grass field, two baseball diamonds, and two pavillions. During the summer there is normally a port a potty located in the park.
Accessibility: This park is not wheelchair friendly, as there is a step down from the parking lot to the park and the park is many different levels.
Shade: There are some large mature trees a short walk from the playground.
Seating: There are a couple of benches located near the park.
Overall Assessment: This is a lovely neighbourhood park that is geared primarily towards young kids. Bigger kids will still enjoy the swings, and zipline. Young kids will love the low play structure with multiple slide options for them to choose from as there are three different slides.
