Summer may be drawing to a close, but it is not over yet! I still have a few BBQs lined up to celebrate those last warm summer days before we are back to coats, hats and mitts. When we have get togethers with friends everyone pitches in so that it is not all on the host to provide all the food. And with my love affair with chocolate I often offer to bring a dessert. Now there are times that I opt for something like Brownies or Cheesecake, however when you are having a large group of dishes served it is sometimes nice to have a recipe where the portion can be just a taste or if the person enjoys it they can have a lot more. Dips perfectly serve this purpose, and are not just for appetizers! If you are looking for a dessert Dip idea, then look no further then this Cookie Dough Dip with Pretzels!

How to Make Cookie Dough Dip
This recipe is a great dessert idea to invite the kids to help you make as all it requires is some simple stirring and mixing of the ingredients and it is ready to eat by the spoonful! First mix the cream cheese and butter together until you get a creamy mixture. Then add in the remaining ingredients: powdered and brown sugar, and vanilla extract. Peanut free Snack ideas for School lunches
And really you can’t go wrong with this dip, we are talking about Cookie Dough after all. I divided up the recipe into 2 containers so I could have one out at a time and the swap out once one was finished. However because I decided to keep it a nut-free recipe and choose to use Pretzels which are made in a peanut-free facility, this recipe is perfect if you need a dessert where there are restrictions on peanuts like church or school groups.
This also means that when Monkey and Little Bear head back to school in a few weeks I can include the snack size packs of Pretzels in their lunches. Pretzels that are made in the peanut-free facility will be labeled with new allergen information making it easy for both parents and teachers to identify them as a peanut-free snacks that is safe for school.
