A beautiful Saturday afternoon in the summer is the perfect time for smoothies and BBQ’s. Nothing hits the spot on a sunny day like a fresh smoothie. I feel like I need to fill my summer with smoothies, they are the perfect hot day drink! A smoothie can also contain a full serving of fruit and/or vegetables depending on what you choose to add. I personally love fruit smoothies with yogurt added to the mix. This weekend I decided to try something new. After looking through Kraft Canada’s Summer Refreshments page (which you should really check out, tons of great summer drink ideas) I found a smoothie that was new to me and sounded perfect for a hot summer day. The Mango-Tango Smoothie is a great tasting, easy to make smoothie.
With only 4 ingredients this smoothie is easy to make. There are only 2 steps too, which makes this smoothie top my list, it really takes less than 5 minutes to make. As far as clean up goes, you can always use a small single serve blender instead of a large one, making it faster and easier to clean!
The secret ingredient in this smoothie (besides the delicious mango’s) is Krafts new Tang. Orange Flavour Liquid Drink Mix. This adds a burst of orange flavour to the smoothie, pairing perfectly with the creamy frozen yogurt and tangy mango’s.
Everyone in our house loved this smoothie, even the girls! I was a little surprised that Bee liked it as much as she did, she usually doesn’t like new flavours. But she finished a whole ‘big girl’ glass full! It could be because this smoothie is full of flavour, it’s a sweet smoothie but still remains refreshing. Perfect for barbecues, late lunches, or dessert.
