As you know I share a lot of recipe ideas on Little Miss Kate.  I love cooking, baking and creating delicious meals for my family.  As much as I enjoy cooking and eating my creations, there is one thing I don’t enjoy…. touching uncooked meat.  I know it is silly, kind of like not wanting to clean out the drain of the sink, but it is a “thing” for me.  Now I have become a master a preparing meaty meals without having to get “hands on”, that is until it comes to homemade burgers.  Frozen burgers sometimes taste as good as the box they came in, but Sobeys has come to my rescue and has FRESH Canadian Chuck burgers that are handmade by the butchers in store. These burgers would pair perfectly with Oven Roasted Corn to make the complete BBQ Meal.

Last weekend we enjoyed these tasty burgers with homemade bacon topping that is out of this world.  The Sobeys burgers are juicy, full of flavour and made from 100% Canadian ground chuck.  Feeling a little adventurous?  The chuck burgers are available in Bacon & Cheddar Cheese, Jalapeรฑo & Cheddar Cheese, Steak & Onion Spiced, and Poutine Gravy and Cheese Curds in addition to the regular burgers as well.

We gave the regular burgers and the Bacon & Cheddar Cheese ones a try.  Both we a hit with Hubs and the kids.  Baby Roo loves her beef too ๐Ÿ™‚  The No Limits BBQ Bacon Burger Topper was so easy to make and wow did it ever go perfectly with the burgers.  As if I had any doubts anyways, because we know that bacon makes everything better.  Forget the boring old ketchup and mustard whip up a batch of this No Limits BBQ Bacon Burger Topper for your next BBQ.  Here is what you will need:

No Limits BBQ Bacon Burger Topper Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 cup crisp cooked bacon chopped into bite sized pieces
  • 1/2 cup shredded Compliments Medium Cheddar Cheese
  • 1/2 cup Sensations by Compliments No Limits Barbecue Aioli found near the mayo at Sobeys
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh chives
  • 2 tbsp sour cream

Instructions

  • Stir ingredients together. Let stand for 15 minutes for flavours to marinate.
  • Sever over freshly cooked burgers. Enjoy!

I love using the chives right from my garden for summer time recipes.  Store any left over topper in a sealed container in the fridge for a couple of days.  It is just as tasty the next day as freshly made.  I know that we will be enjoying many more burgers this summer, we have to enjoy the nice barbecuing weather while we can.  I am happy that I can enjoy handmade burgers from Sobeys, without having to use my hands to make them.  Change up your backyard barbecue by giving the Sobeys Chuck burgers a try and topping them off with this savoury bacon burger topper.  Happy Grilling!
