With warm weather and the sun shinning, and limited outdoor activities thsi year, swimming in Outdoor Pools is the best activity to cool down this summer! Taking a swim in an Outdoor Pool in Mississauga, Brampton, Caledon, or Milton is a great activity for this summer.  Luckily, Mississauga and the GTA have a awesome selection of public outdoor swimming pools. Here are just a few of our favourites that are local to the Halton and Peel Region.

All of the outdoor pools open in mid-to late June until the Labour Day weekend.

Outdoor Pools Mississauga

The City of Mississauga operates Seven Outdoor Pools:

  • Applewood Heights Outdoor Pool
  • David Ramsey Outdoor Pool
  • Don McLean Westacres Outdoor Pool
  • Erindale Outdoor Pool
  • Lewis Bradley Outdoor Pool
  • Lions Club of Credit Valley Outdoor Pool
  • Streetsville Outdoor Pool

ALL MUST REGISTER TO RESERVE YOUR SPACE AT OUTDOOR POOLS. RESERVED SPOTS WILL ONLY BE HELD FOR THE FIRST 10 MINUTES OF THE SWIM. PAYMENT WILL BE REQUIRED UPON ENTRY. Reservations are available five days in advance at 6 a.m.

The City of Mississauga is offering two different swim activities: fun swim and lane swim. Fun swim is an unstructured recreational swim for all ages. Lane swim is a structured swim for continuous lap swimming. This swim is best for those whom are comfortable in deep water and can swim 25m. Pools are divided into double lanes to allow for a circular pattern while swimming. Lane division will be based on the pace of the swimmers.

Covid Protocols for Mississauga Outdoor Pools:

  • Limit the number of people who will be at the pool to ensure safety for all users.
  • If you are 15 or under a guardian (16 or over) is required to accompany you to the pool.
  • Parents/ guardians are responsible for ensuring that physical distancing of 2m is maintained throughout the swim (with the exception of those within your group).
  • Face coverings/masks are required in indoor public spaces: in change rooms and in hallways
    leading to the pool/whirlpool.

Eldorado Park

Eldorado Pool is an outdoor located in Eldorado Park.  Open weekdays from 1 – 6:30 pm and weekends from 11:45 am to 6 pm. Reservations are required, for a 1 hour timeslot. Wild Wetland Splash Pad & Pool at Heart Lake Conservation Park – Closed for 2021

Enjoy this shoreline entry pool that is perfect for young kids as it has a sloped shallow entry. Enjoy this heated outdoor pool that has a wetland-themed splash pad, where kids can get wild under the drooping daises, spraying dandelions and more right next to the pool.

Covid Protocols for Brampton Outdoor Pools:

  • Limited equipment will be available with the exception of lifejackets. Equipment will be disinfected between each use. Participants are encouraged to bring their own equipment. 
  • Waterslides, showers, saunas and steam rooms will remain closed.  
  • Face coverings/masks are required in indoor public spaces: in change rooms and in hallways
    leading to the pool/whirlpool.

Albion Hills  – Closed for 2021

Enjoy this fully accessible pool that is perfect for young kids as it is 4ft deep. Enjoy this heated outdoor pool that is located in a natural wilderness surrounding and has a interactive wetland-themed splash pad nearby.

Outdoor Pools Milton

Pre-registration is required for all swims and aquafit classes. Registration will be available for Milton residents 72 hours prior to the swim or aquafit and 48 hours prior for non-residents.

Rotary Park 

Rotary Park is an outdoor pool located in Milton.  Open daily from 7am – 8:15 pm. Reservations are required, for a 1 hour timeslot. Reservations are accepted up to three days in advance. Visits are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Make your Reservation Here!

Location: 100 GARDEN LANE, Milton

Covid Protocols for Milton Outdoor Pools:

  • Each person attending must be registered for the swim prior to attending the facility
  • Swimmers of all ages are welcome to water walk, exercise, relax, or play during Rotary Park Swims
  • Length swimming is not available
  • Supervision requirements are in place at all swims for children under the age of 10
  • Swim capacities have been significantly reduced. Participants are expected to maintain a distance of 2 metres from others throughout the swim

Note: Rotary Park Swims scheduled as “Play Pool Only” means that only the shallower wade-in side of the pool is available. The lap pool side will be in use for length swimming or an aquafit class.
