Looking to send some time by the water but don’t want to travel out of the city? Then Jack Darling Park is the place to be! Jack Darling Park is one of the Best Parks in Mississauga as it is 22 acres of fun as it offers a variety of activities for everyone to enjoy including a Beach right inside of the Mississauga city limits. You can also enjoy the waterfront views from the Jack Darling Beach and on a clear day even see the CN tower. A paved stroller friendly walking trail surrounds the waterfront area and connects to Rattray Marsh trail! Jack Darling Park Address
First thing is first – where is Jack Darling in Mississauga? It is located along the lakeshore in Mississauga not far from the Clarkson area. The address is 1180 Lakeshore Rd W, Mississauga, ON L5H 1A1. Jack Darling has two enterances off Lakeshore road, take the second one as the first doesnt give access to the park (you want the enterance on the South side). There is a free parking lot that is located between the playground and the splash pad and is a quick walk to the beach using the Waterfront trail.
Does Mississauga Have a Beach? Yes – Jack Darling Beach
There are several beaches around Mississauga, however you don’t need to go far to enjoy a day at the Beach. This sandy beach is a great place to spend the day making sand castles and swimming while viewing the CN tower. There is a shallow area located between two rock formations that most families were using as a swimming area. There are no lifeguards or buoys to mark a swimming area so you are swimming at your own risk.
Can you Swim at Jack Darling Beach? YES
The water quality is tested regularly at Jack Darling Beach so make sure you check to make sure the beach has the all clear before heading out. Jack Darling Memorial Park is sampled weekly from June 4th to September 15th.
Jack Darling Memorial Park Waterfront Walking Trail
The Waterfront Trail in Mississauga is a a trail that goes through Jack Darling Park and connects to Rattay Marsh Wetland and 22 other parks along the Lake Ontario waterfront offering a nice leisurely stroll while viewing Lake Ontario. It is paved and stroller friendly, and will take you around the lake through the park. You can access the walking trail from the parking lot. The paved multi-use trails will take you past several parks if you continue the whole length of the trail. For the full route visit the Waterfront Trail Map. Jack Darling Dog Park
This is one of the best Dog Parks I have ever been to as it is one of the largest fully fenced off leash dog parks in Ontario.
The Jack Darling off leash area is located in Mississauga, Ontario and it is one of the largest fully fenced off leash dog parks in Ontario. There are 4 different gates to enter the large leash free park. Most people walk the trail around the park in a clockwise direction – this park is a little different than other dog parks as it features a trail to walk with your dog off leash compared to just open free grass area of most dog parks.
There are a few benches on the top of the hill but there is no water available inside the dog park. There are, however, poop bags all the time as well as a bulletin board to keep you up-to-date with current events.
Jack Darling Playground
The playground was surrounded by lots of mature trees that offered tons of shade on the super hot day that we visited. The park was divided into a older kid section and toddler section and there was a balance beam in between to divide the park in half.
The playground had a large swing section with big kid swings, baby swings, and two wheelchair accesible swings. Squeaker actually enjoyed his first swing ride ever here. My favourite part of this park is that it had soft artifical grass as the surface instead of sand or wood chip, so it is much softer if kids fall. The park had multiple slides, climbing features,

Jack Darling Splash Pad
The park has a beautiful splash pad with washrooms located behind the Splash pad. I enjoyed the view of the lake while watching the kids play and appreciated that the splash pad had lots of large trees nearby offering shade. There was lots of benches located around the splash pad for parents to sit and watch their littles.
