Family Day is about celebrating the importance of families, so make sure you plan to spend time with those you love the most – FAMILY! Check out the variety of Things to do on Family Day Weekend in Brampton, Mississauga, Georgetown and Caledon. Don’t let the cold weather deter you from having a blast of a weekend, we have created a list with activities indoors and outside depending on your preference and current weather conditions. From Family Festivals to Outdoor Activities, there is an activity to keep every unique family busy and entertained. Looking to make memories and for Things to do this Family Day Long Weekend 2020 – it is the first long weekend since Christmas break so make the most of it with one of these local events or family day activities. It is important to remember that families come in all shapes and sizes, but the most important thing about family is love and spending time together. Begin to teach children about family at a young age and why it is important to make time to connect as a family unit.

1. INTERNATIONAL CENTRE ->KIDS FEST
Event Times –
Kids Fest Toronto takes place indoors at the International Centre in Mississauga over Family Day weekend. You and your family can enjoy live entertainment, inflatables, carnival games, interactive attractions and so much more. Food and drinks available for purchase at the event and parking is free.
Kids Fest Mississauga features the largest indoor inflatable road show for kids with over 30 inflatable rides and attractions!
Kids Fest Toronto has more than thirty themed inflatables blown-up and ready for action inside 80,000 square feet at The International Centre, Hall 6 in Mississauga. Children can slide, ride and bounce all day. They range from large slides to toddler appropriate rides. On top of the fabulous inflatables, Kids Fest Toronto offers shows, interactive activities, games, crafts and more.

Can’t afford the ridiculous prices of hockey in Toronto, then come support your local Mississauga Steelheads as a family and enjoy a game of hockey. Mississauga Steelheads will be taking on Erie Otters in OHL Hockey at 2PM.
North America’s largest Mac and Cheese Festival returns and is coming in hot to bring you a massive Valentine’s weekend festival from February 14-16, 2020. In just one month, the Small Arms Inspection Building is going to be overrun with mac and cheese lovers.
The Mac and Cheese Festival brings together the most skilled mac bosses under one roof to prepare signature dishes and present their ooey-gooey cheesy menus directly to you – along with plenty of wine, cocktails, margaritas and craft beer. There will be 40+ over-the-top mac and cheese creations for Valentine’s weekend!
Beyond stuffing your face with mac and cheese, enjoy playing racing simulators, giant Jenga, a wide array of board games (e.g. What Do You Meme, Blokus, Bad People, Telestrations After Dark, Pit Card Game etc) and retro games on Nintendo Classic, Super Nintendo and Playstation Classic.
Join us and discover new flavours with the return of The Craft Beer Bar. Taste locally made beers and ciders from across Ontario. To top it all off for Valentine’s, we’re having a bunch of dance instructors teach guests on how to line dance, salsa and more from beginners to intermediate/advance throughout the entire weekend.
5. Family Day Skate
Who doesn’t love a snow day? This Family Day, kids of all ages can enjoy the magic of a snow day at the Square. Lace up your skates and hit the rink, or snap some family photos in our selfie stations. Build the fort of your dreams at our fort building station, or play some games – big and small – at our indoor board game cafe, or outdoor game garden.
Need a break from all the fun? Grab a bite at one of the food trucks that will be onsite dishing up tasty treats.
There’s lots of wonder to be discovered at Celebration Square this Family Day.
6. Family Day Activities – Mississauga Recreation
Enjoy and Explore all that the City of Mississauga Parks and Recreation has to offer! This FREE event offers: A showcase of city services: Mississauga Fire, MiWay, Recreation, Economic Development, Volunteer and Library Services. Activities include: shiny, family ball hockey, skating, badminton, swimming, and family sports. Activities vary depending on location, check for full listing and schedule of events here.
Things to do on Family Day in Caledon and Orangeville
Terra Cotta Moonlight Skate
SATURDAY, February 15th, 2020 – 6 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.
Terra Cotta Conservation Area, Halton Hills (View Map)
Regular park admission fees apply; members get in for FREE
Enjoy an evening skating, skiing or snowshoeing under the starts at Terra Cotta Conservation Area. Glide across a torch-lit Wolf Lake or follow the moonlight trails, while embracing Ontario’s winter wonderland at night. Snowshoes and skis are available for rent from the Visitors Welcome Centre or bring your own. Skate rentals are not available.
Afterwards, warm up by a campfire with a hot beverage. Don’t forget your headlamp!
Family Fun Day at Island Lake

Join us for family fun in the great outdoors! Enjoy a variety of outdoor activities with the whole family at Island Lake Conservation Area.
- Learn to ice fish – free ice fishing demonstrations and tips

Don’t forget to register for our fishing derby. Family Day is the last day to reel in a big one!
