Skating in Brampton:
Who doesn’t love a snowy winter day? This Family Day, kids of all ages can enjoy the magic of a snow day at one of the many Outdoor Rinks in Brampton. Lace up your skates and hit the rink.
Tobogganing in Brampton
Tobogganing is a FREE activity and a great way to EXPLORE the Outdoors! A few tips before you head out. Safety first always! Check the hills for any debris, sticks, snow/ice ramps that may be left behind. Helmets are always a good idea. If you are at a bigger hill, test the speeds out first by starting in the middle, before going all the way from the top. Check our Full list of Toboganning Hills in Brampton.
Go for a Scavenger Hunt
Scavenger hunts are great ways to learn about the city you live in. Luckily, there is plenty you can do in Brampton! Learn more about the city, and see how many fun things you can find!

Go Snow Tubing at Mount Ching
Snow tubing is a super fun way to spend the day outside with the kids. Enjoy snow tubing without having to leave the Greater Toronto Area. Located on the ski hill at Chinguacousy Park in Brampton. There is a minimum height requirement of 42″, and a maximum weight of 250lbs for the tube hill. This snow hill is one of the smallest and offers a gentle introduction to snow tubing for younger kids and has an easy to use magic carpet lift.
The Snow Tubing Hill is open, weather permitting, Thursday and Friday evenings and all day Saturday and Sundays. Visitors are encouraged to bring their own helmets for tubing. Visit the City of Brampton website for full details and costs. The anticipated opening date is mid January for the 2023 Snow Tubing Season.
Cost: Ticket packs are available for 6, 12 or 18 rides. 6 Rides starts at a low cost of $15!

Things to do in Georgetown and Milton
Winter Lit:
Experience a little extra sparkle as you enjoy the Winterlit Trail that features inspirational art installations along the trail. Also at Mountsberg, the Illuminated Sugarbush Trail has soft overhead lighting to allow for a beautiful evening stroll through the sugarbush, as well as soundtracks from local artists. They have extended the trails by almost 2 kilometres, added more art installations, and are introducing Enhanced Evenings at Mountsberg!
