Outdoor Activities for March Break 2024:

***Some of these activities require snow so they may not be operating dependent on snow conditions***

Maple Syrup Farms and Festivals – Mountsberg and Kortright Conservation area are some of the local places holding Maple Syrup Festivals and Events. Canadian culture has some very specific icon images and maple syrup is one of them. Every year in March, you will find a variety of locations hosting Maple Syrup Festivals and Farms. This is why we have rounded up the Best Maple Syrup Festivals in Ontario that you should visit in 2024!

Treewalk Village – geared towards children aged 3-7 years old, however on both visits I saw 2 year olds enjoying the activity with parental support. This activity is available to all ages. If you have older kids 8+ they would enjoy the full treetop trekking. This is a 2 hour activity, and timeslots must currently be prebooked. Children can run wild and explore from treehouse to treehouse that are 8ft from the ground. Each treehouse is connected by nets, hammocks and wood bridges that challenge children’s abilities in a fun way. Overcome the obstacles and enjoy a slide ride to the ground.

Snow Tubing – While the snow is falling get out while you can to take part in this fun family activity. No fancy equipment or special skills needed to take part in this wintertime activity. You can make a day trip out of it, or have an overnight getaway depending on how much time you want to spend embracing the outdoors and how far you want to travel.

Here are some of the sensational snow tubing hills in and around the Greater Toronto area so you can start your wintertime adventure.

Skiing in Ontario – Going skiing in Ontario is a fabulous way to spend those cold winter months. There are several great Ontario Ski Resorts that you can choose from to visit. If you are looking for the best ski hills Ontario has to offer, you are in the right place.

Tobogganing is a great way to embrace the snow!  There are so many activities you can get out and enjoy outdoors during the winter, no need to stay cooped up inside.

Guides: Tobogganing in Milton, Tobogganing in Georgetown and Acton, Tobogganning in Brampton, Tobogganing in Mississauga

Guides: Skating in Mississauga, Skating in Milton, Skating in Brampton, Skating in Georgetown and Acton

Get out and Enjoy a Hike – One of our favourite things to do lately has been to get OUTSIDE.  It seems like we are spending so much time at home and in front of screens that we are making a really good effort to get out and enjoy the outdoors.

Just because we live in a city doesn’t mean there are not great hiking trails near me.  There are lots of awesome places to hike near Toronto and you don’t need to drive for hours to find fun and challenging outdoor hikes.

Guides: Hiking in Brampton, Hiking in Mississauga
